Jacky van Driel-Nguene

“Medical sciences and teaching have been my passions for as long as I can remember. So, I specialised in Medical Biochemistry (BSc Hons - University of London) and obtained a Science Teacher’s qualification from the London Institute of Education. I quickly built a successful career in teaching science and delivering seminars in the UK and internationally: in the Philippines, Malaysia, Cameroon, France, and the Netherlands. 

 

Hair science began as a curiosity which quickly developed into a lifelong passion. From small self-designed experiments in my school labs to full-on trichology studies at both the Institute of Trichologists and TrichoCare Education in the UK.

 

I have a special interest in “ethnic” hair types, hair cosmetic formulations, and the effects of their ingredients on the hair and scalp. To become a trichologist was a way to unite my love for science, medicine, hair, teaching, and the desire to provide help and comfort to those seeking solutions for hair and scalp concerns.
